NSBE MAP Shows Holiday Spirit in the Community

Updated: Mar 1, 2020

In December, NSBE MAP Executive Board members worked alongside the St. Vincent de Paul Society of Greater Milwaukee to serve the community. They handed out holiday gifts and served meals to families who may be less fortunate this holiday season at All Peoples Church located in the Harambee neighborhood of Milwaukee. The event began with the serving of dinner to the visitors. While the families enjoyed meals prepared by the St. Vincent de Paul Society church members, children in attendance were able to have a personal meet-and-greet with Mr. and Mrs. Claus. After meals were enjoyed by all, children under the age of 15 were able to stop by the gift room to receive presents.

The members of the NSBE MAP Board helped to serve food and hand out gifts at the event. This being the 4th year of NSBE MAP's participation in this event, it was nice to reconnect with familiar faces among the crowd and other volunteers. NSBE MAP executive board members want to remind everyone to spare some of their free time during the holiday season in order to give back to others.

Happy New Year!
